چکیده
This paper describes the participation of the GTI research group of AtlantTIC, University of Vigo, in tass 2016. This workshop is framed within the XXXII edition of the Annual Congress of the Spanish Society for Natural Language Processing event. In this work we propose a supervised approach based on classifiers, for the aspect based sentiment analysis task. Using this technique we managed to improve the performance of previous years, obtaining a solution reflecting the actual state-of-the-art.

GTI-Gradiant at TASS 2015: A Hybrid Approach for Sentiment Analysis in Twitter
This paper describes the participation of the GTI research group of AtlantTIC, University of Vigo, and Gradiant (Galician Research and Development Centre in Advanced Telecommunications), in the tass 2015 workshop. Both groups have worked together in the development of a hybrid approach for sentiment analysis, at a global level, of Twitter, proposed in task 1 of tass. A system based on classifie...
متن کاملGTI at SemEval-2016 Task 4: Training a Naive Bayes Classifier using Features of an Unsupervised System
This paper presents the approach of the GTI Research Group to SemEval-2016 task 4 on Sentiment Analysis in Twitter, or more specifically, subtasks A (Message Polarity Classification), B (Tweet classification according to a two-point scale) and D (Tweet quantification according to a two-point scale). We followed a supervised approach based on the extraction of features by a dependency parsing-ba...
متن کاملGTI at SemEval-2016 Task 5: SVM and CRF for Aspect Detection and Unsupervised Aspect-Based Sentiment Analysis
This paper describes in detail the approach carried out by the GTI research group for SemEval 2016 Task 5: Aspect-Based Sentiment Analysis, for the different subtasks proposed, as well as languages and dataset contexts. In particular, we developed a system for category detection based on SVM. Then for the opinion target detection task we developed a system based on CRFs. Both are built for rest...
متن کاملSpanish Twitter Messages Polarized through the Lens of an English System
In this paper we describe the adaptation of a supervised classification system that was originally developed to detect sentiment on Twitter texts written in English. The Columbia University team adapted this system to participate in Task 1 of the 4th edition of the experimental evaluation workshop for sentiment analysis focused on the Spanish language (TASS 2015). The task consists of determini...
متن کاملEnsemble classifier for Twitter sentiment analysis
In this paper, we present a combination of different types of sentiment analysis approaches in order to improve the individual performance of them. These ones consist of (I) ranking algorithms for scoring sentiment features as bi-grams and skip-grams extracted from annotated corpora; (II) a polarity classifier based on a deep learning algorithm; and (III) a semi-supervised system founded on the...
